The "Last Word No More Needs To Be Said Best Processor for Notebook PC"

Intel vs AMD for best laptop processor...

So, does Intel or does AMD have the best processor for notebook PCs?

This is the $64 million question. If you knew the answer to this you would make a killing on the stock market. Intel and AMD are locked in a battle to the death. Each one is trying to beat the other one into the ground. Of course, to these two companies, the battle is worth a whole lot more than $64 million. It's worth billions and billions of dollars.

For you and me, we just want to know which one is best for our purposes. If I'm looking for a basic laptop then the processor (otherwise known as a CPU) probably does not need to be cutting edge. However, if I'm a major gamer then I might want the top-of-the-line dual-core processor.

Another factor that comes into play is the chipset that the processor works with. A chipset is all the other chips that the CPU will work with on this motherboard. Gamers in looking for the best processor for notebook PCs are also concerned about the video display chipset. You see, all the components have to work together and be tuned for specific applications in order for a specific type of notebook PC to function at peak efficiency.

Think of it this way. You have a four lane superhighway. Cars are traveling at 70 plus miles an hour. But then in the middle of that freeway all four lanes are funneled down into one lane. You can imagine the backup that would occur. And it wouldn't matter how fast you could travel on either side of that bottleneck. The bottleneck will determine the ultimate speed by which you can travel

It's the same thing when you're looking for the best processor for notebook PCs. You could have the fastest most extreme processor. But if the components that it works with are very slow then the speed of the processor doesn't really matter because the slowest component is going to be your bottleneck.

The average user typically cannot outpace the processor. That's why all the experts say if you want to see a speed increase in your computer the first thing to do is to upgrade your RAM. You see the processors is able to do everything at lightning speed but the slow RAM or the lack of RAM is what is slowing things down.
