The best way to know that I found a great laptop deal is to either subscribe to my newsletter or add me to your RSS feed. The RSS feed will be the most timely way to find out when there’s a great deal on laptops.
Let me give you an example of one of the best laptop deals I found. I was looking for a replacement of my IBM X20.
I needed a laptop that was light because I travel a lot. So, I decided to get a Dell Inspiron 700m. 
It tipped the scales at just over 4 pounds. I can’t remember what the base price was, but after my upgrades and options, it cost right about $1800.
Want to guess how cheap I got this laptop? I’ll save you the suspense. I managed to get it for just under $800! I don’t know about you, but I would consider that one of best laptop deals around.
One of the best sites to find terrific deals on laptops is fatwallet.com. You want to go to their hot deals forum. It takes a while to get used to how the deals work at fatwallet. Many of them require rebates and price matching. However, if you work it, you can get some terrific laptops at very discounted prices.
I’m constantly on fatwallet looking for deals. I can’t help it. It’s the Chinese in me. Whenever I find a terrific deal, a deal that would be hard to pass up and also isn’t that hard to get, I’ll let you know. I’ll post on my blog.
